Actual schedule:
DAY ONE Ho Chi Minh City
Departed at 7:30am fr Spore, met Tan Tran @ the airport (my vietnamese frien) and he helped us to negotiate the taxi fare before the blur 6 of us are shoved into a taxi.. Checked into the hotel (photo = alley our hotel is in, its nt at the main road, luckily, cuz there's so much air & noise pollution if we stayed just beside the main road!), and we went out for lunch!
Aft which, SHOPPING @ Siagon Sq & Ben Than Market. The photo w me = Ben Than, its really like a sheltered pasar malam.. Quite big, more than a football field & there are abt a hundred stores.. Saigon Sq is recommended by my Viet frien cuz its air-con (v impt in the hot weather) & 2 levels. Mainly clothes and bags.. :)
Dinner is on-top of a cruise along Saigon River. Refer to photo. My viet frien brought us there. Big ship with quite nice breezy weather & v sailor-dressed waiter & waiteress.. But a tad ex.. Each of us spent abt ~S$12.
