Drama Queen

Been FOLLOWING alot of dramas recently. Haha.. The new ones (Taiwan & Korean), you name it, I probably watching it too or watched before but not interested to follow it. :P

Though I follow a few each week, think I like this the best , but it doesn't overwrite my earlier k-drama which I mentioned. So the next k-drama

You're beautiful

Yup, this k-drama starrs Park Shin Hye, which I recognised from Goong S. But the other guys I don't recognise at all. Nonetheless, this k-drama still catch my attn & i've been following it every wk. Its pretty relaxing & fun to watch.
FYI: The song is from this drama.

Yoon Sang Hyun

Its been some time (not very long) since I last watched a korean drama.. Being rather bored, I started searching for korean drama to watch on the internet.. Roughly watched 1-2 new dramas.. Then i came across this:

Take care of my young lady/My fair lady

Its really going to be one of my fav k-dramas! Haha.. I started watching from ep. 1 which is very rare because I don't usually like to watch the first few & last few eps of dramas (think its too slow & boring). But I just started watching from ep. 1 by chance.. AND its really very nice!!

What's nice? Its just enjoyable to watch.. Romantic comedy & nice songs & more imptly... the male lead!! Kekekeke... Must follow the drama through then you'll understand why the male lead is.. Think he acts well too + nice eyes (just like my tony leung chai wai).. Strongly recommended drama of 2009!

First (formal) job

Well, everybody is or should be looking forward to their first job because
  1. Tired of studying after 16 years of sg education.
  2. $. finally a steady flow of income instead of unsteady tuition fees.
  3. Doing something you want to do
  4. Dreams - reaching your final destination

But starting out makes one realised certain realities and facts of life.

  1. Not high enough salary (even if enough to satisfy youself but you realise no where/ no time to spend)
  2. Boring tasks/repetitive (you are only 23/25 yrs old.. how are you gg to cont doing this for the rest of ur career)
  3. Can't see where you are going (career advancement - ambitions, we all have a streak in us. we want to enjoy sucesses.)
  4. Far from home (like tuas/Gibraltar) :P
  5. PEOPLE

The last point is the trickest part of life.. You may have the best EQ skills or personality, but its still going to be tricky and its a MUST to learn this.

Be it with the seniors (pple with yrs of experience longer than your age), bosses (people who determine your career prospects), fellow colleagues (people who work alongside you and know as much as you only), juniors (people whom u supervise), clients.

Of course, there's the finer details of interacting with different people - in terms culture differences (british & americans are so different...), Males vs females..

There are certain people I respect and certain I don't.. I can tell what are the differences, and why some people are more popular, more respected. Takes time to learn. But its interesting.. :)

Missing home..

Finally I am blogging again.

This is the 12th day away from home and I do admit, I miss home. This is probably the first time in my life that i feel that way. Not the exchange/YEP/holiday trips. Guess its hard when you are working overseas - there are too many contributing factors to it..

The first few days are alright with the friendliness of my UK colleagues and the MD who is really very kind to me. Now I'm in Gibraltar - aka the Rock.. Already tired and sick of the stupid rock already. Haha.. Think I'm quite mean and didn't do justice to this place because I haven't even tour around yet.

Not that I didn't have time - in fact I have loads of time here. It ain't that busy as i imagine.. But one thing for sure, i have to work 7 days a week except bad weather days. And I still have another 2 months before i return Spore, so I planned to tour really really slowly.

I shan't complain too much because that won't do me too good.. But seriously.. Haiz.. Staying/travelling alone is sooooo boring. I have my colleagues but they all miss home that's what i think.. People get cranky sometimes when away from home too long. And those who stayed here all their lives (the entire proj length = 2 years), its a different frequency le..

You can check out my facebook photos but I seldom take pics here and upload them really slow. The only thing I am looking forward to is the arrival of Eugene, who flew here especially to accompany me! Hope to have a chance to tour Spain, pray hard i aint busy with work when he's here...

New Year~ New Drama(s)..

Woosh, will resume my drama-watching soon, in about 2 days time aft the dreadful FYP. I have alr stumbled upon a new drama which I'm quite interested...
꽃보다 남자 !!!
Okkkkkk, in 3 other languages it is......
花より男子
Meteor Garden
流星花园
In my personal opinon, both the Jap version is and Korean version will be much better than the Taiwan version in terms of plot wise. I have watched the Jap version last yr both season 1 & 2- Its nice! But the Taiwan version probably has really the better-looking ones for the cast F4 than any other country. So now... I will be watching the korean version!

Whats the issue about....

OMG... Mr. **** have not changed much since 2007.

In 2007, after weeks (really literally many many weeks of communication via emails and face-face with Mr. ****). When we felt exasperated, we decide to take things into our own hands (find the necessary pple & profs to settle our stuff), then we went back dept to finalise with them.

"Hi. Erm... What's the issue about?"
*Faintz. (we met you sooo many times & talked abt "this issue" sooo many times..)
"We have already settled with ~ and ~ and ~ regarding... "
"Ok. then we'll do it that way."
We got our way in the end.. Phew.

In 2009, after days (we learnt our lesson, so we approach the dept nearing CORS period). But we were referred to the same person, Mr. ****.

On Mon: "Hi, we have some problems registering for Lab I in CORS.. we went SEP... IA..."
" Oh i see, wait a while.. I need to find the relevant info abt you all.."
After half an hr,
"I can't really find those. Can you all forward me the necessary emails and I'll get back to you?"
"Ok we'll send you those now, thanks."

On Thurs (after 3 days of silence fr the dept we went back to dept)
"Hi, Erm... Yes?"
*Sighz.
"Erm, its regarding CORS.."
"OH................... What's the issue about?"
*FAINTZ!
"Its regarding.... we have forward you the emails but... "
"Let me check.... Wait a while..."

OMG....................
