First (formal) job

Well, everybody is or should be looking forward to their first job because
  1. Tired of studying after 16 years of sg education.
  2. $. finally a steady flow of income instead of unsteady tuition fees.
  3. Doing something you want to do
  4. Dreams - reaching your final destination

But starting out makes one realised certain realities and facts of life.

  1. Not high enough salary (even if enough to satisfy youself but you realise no where/ no time to spend)
  2. Boring tasks/repetitive (you are only 23/25 yrs old.. how are you gg to cont doing this for the rest of ur career)
  3. Can't see where you are going (career advancement - ambitions, we all have a streak in us. we want to enjoy sucesses.)
  4. Far from home (like tuas/Gibraltar) :P
  5. PEOPLE

The last point is the trickest part of life.. You may have the best EQ skills or personality, but its still going to be tricky and its a MUST to learn this.

Be it with the seniors (pple with yrs of experience longer than your age), bosses (people who determine your career prospects), fellow colleagues (people who work alongside you and know as much as you only), juniors (people whom u supervise), clients.

Of course, there's the finer details of interacting with different people - in terms culture differences (british & americans are so different...), Males vs females..

There are certain people I respect and certain I don't.. I can tell what are the differences, and why some people are more popular, more respected. Takes time to learn. But its interesting.. :)
