Haha. The seafood risotto from Olio is very nice! Although it's not spicy, but I still like it very much! Gonna have busy busy months ahead. Project deadlines looming ahead. Argh... *close eyes** Let me slp 1st..

Late post - HIGH lunch & WOMAD 25 Aug

My friend's bday.... So we went to Equinox for lunch!



Magnificient view right! It is 226 metres above sea level. It was a buffet lunch, the highlights are Sashimi, cold crab, Roasted Foie Gras (simply delicious!) and of course the delicate desserts..

At night, we went to Womad '07!!!


My first outdoor concert in Spore! Haha. 2007 is the 10th anniversary of Womad in Spore, I wanted to make use of this chance to watch.. Thats y i suggested this concert. Heh. It reminds me of USA, all the live performaces, workshops, food from all over the world. What really makes me reminiscent is the atmosphere. Laid-back, relaxing & enjoying music. It was crowded, but everybody sat on grassmats, and as the night progresses, more & more pple started dancing.. Gt a few people that were so engrossed in the music that they just stand throughout 4 hrs+ & danced by themselves..

The performances were by various artists, I only rem some:

Ensemble, directed by this guy from Iran. His music is rich in Arabian, Persian & African. Pretty cool. Very easy to move along with the music.

Oki Dub Ainu Band, the guy is from Japan & is the most prominent performer in the world of a traditional stringed instrument.

Anyway the whole concert can last till 1am I think, but we left around 11pm. Its abit too fast to leave so early. But I dun wan to get home too late. Despite leaving early, I felt that I already got back my ticket's worth. It was a good show, good experience.

Late post - National Day celebration! 18 Aug

Now for backlogging.. Starting with National Day!

Actually its not the actual celebrations on 9 Aug but the post-celebrations. Went to the esplanade area to watch, my friend's friend got tickets so we actually got to seat on the spectator stand (moreover the central red zone) and watch the 1 hr show. There are 2 weekends celebrations, I went for the Spain one. The other is China. Some of my friends (OGs asked me to watch tog too at the bridge) Heh, I've a ticket seat to watch.

The fireworks were really spectacular, its composed by a person from Spain. Deh. Can guess from the theme of the celebration. It must be very costly becuz the whole duration was abt half an hr? Or 15 mins? Non-stop & full of surprises & VERY pretty fireworks. Didn't really look forward to fireworks before this, cuz don't like to squeeze with the crowds & stand for very long just to get a gd spot to watch a few mins of sparks.

Now I think maybe it is worth it. :)

Mid term Break in NUS

Today is a holiday! Went out for bkfast, watched Heros till the afternn, cooked maggie mee. Before finally taking a 2hr nap. Haha..

Played with fireworks at night at ecp. Today is the mid-autumn festival , so many families & youngsters at ecp. Enjoyed my day relaxing. Many more such days to come. Came across this quote & modify it myself:

For everything there is a season,

Mid-term Break in NUS

Last Sat was Ming Yue's bday party! It was pretty fun, considering nobody dress according to her theme-'white and gold'. Ya I was one of the guilty ones too(but i really dun haf much white clothes only alot of white T-shirts), but most pple I saw there also didn't follow. Still kudos to Ming Yue for organising such a great party.

Reached there early to help out with the deco. Didn't really do much actually but gt to see her b4 and after she changed to her dress. The bday cake was GOOD! I like the mint taste though abit creamy. And the games we played 'truth or Volka' 'indian pokka' 'heart attack!' Haha.. My luck was still ok, except for the 1st game. Shall rem not to change my card un-necessary. Hah. Then the lanterns.. So long since I last played with it. Too bad these catches fire so easily. Nx time shld consider the battery ones w music. Safe and cute.

First time I saw Marilyn drunk.. :) Her comments were really funny and sharp after a few drinks. Lol.. Ming yue is still quite ok, didn't hear her say that 'she love ___' but still nevertheless interesting to hear other pple comment abt her drunk antics. Lol.. No wonder Lip Chong had to take care of the gals everytime they go drinking.. *pat shoulder*

Was feeling sleepy after a few sips. Shld b my tiredness.
